PokerStars officially launched its New Jersey site in March 2016. In 2014 the site was sold to Amaya Gaming, and was subsequently given the green light to operate in the state by the Division of Gaming Enforcement after reaching a license agreement with Resorts Casino Atlantic City. When the Garden State regulated iGaming in 2013, PokerStars was eager to bring its product back to the United States. The site’s path into the legal New Jersey online gambling market, however, wasn’t an easy one. Offering real money iGaming for the better part of two decades, PokerStars is the heavyweight champion of online poker.
